• Facility: Longmont United Hospital, 1950 Mountain View Ave, Longmont, CO, 80501
• Job Title: RN - Labor and Delivery
• Shift Details:
• Nights: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
• On-call required
  

Position Requirements

• Education:
• Associate Degree in Nursing (required)
• Bachelor Degree in Nursing (preferred)
• Certifications:
• State RN license or RN license from a participating state in the NLC (required)
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) (required)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification (required)
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) Certification or Association of Women's Health, Obstetrics, and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Certification (required)
  

Skills & Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs (physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual) and intervene for optimal outcomes
• Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
• Perform therapeutic/diagnostic interventions such as IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection
• Provide patient and family education, addressing learning readiness and evaluating effectiveness
• Advocate for patient health and safety while respecting cultural diversity and preferences
• Delegate tasks to non-RN personnel per State Board of Nursing and hospital policy
• Model professional and ethical nursing practices
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and use evidence-based healthcare research
• Float assignments may include duties outside of original job requirements
  
  

Float Requirements

• Floating may be required to any CommonSpirit location within 60 miles of the original assignment or CommonSpirit-identified “float zone”
• Float assignments may involve tasks outside original skill set in accordance with policy
  
  

Additional Notes

• Contract Zone: Zone 3 (Denver area facilities)
• Includes OrthoColorado Hospital, Longmont United Hospital, St. Anthony Hospital, St. Anthony North Hospital
• Weekends: Work required every other weekend
• On-Call: Required
• Start Date: 05/05/2025
• Duration: 13 weeks
